Foxes Set for Playoffs, Put the Brass Behind Them

Having clinched a playoff berth the weekend before last by defeating the Des Moines Menace on the road, the final home series against the Kansas City Brass meant nothing more than pride in front of the home town fans.

Saturday opened up with a bang starting at the 6th minute courtesy of a combination play with Oliver Gore that led Chris Salvaggione to send one home.  Twenty minute later, Salvaggione returned the favor for Gore to put the home side up two to nil.  Then just before the break, Gore beat two defenders to be greeted by the Brass keeper off his line.  But the play didn’t end there as Oliver keenly danced back and around the keeper to put Real Colorado up 3-0 in the 44th minute.

Now the Foxes (9-3-2) have their sites on Forest City London (10-2-2), last season’s PDL Champion, in the Central Conference Final Four hosted by Thunder Bay, Ontario’s Thunder Bay Chill (12-1-1) who clinched this year’s league regular season title at 4:00PM MDT on July 27th.

Foxes Look to Sweep into the Playoffs

The Real Colorado Foxes once again are in the hot and heavy into hunt for USL Premier Development League playoffs and possibly a division title.  To qualify the Foxes need only to beat Des Moines Menace (7-1-2) this Saturday or walk away with 4 points in their final 4 matches.  To win the division, while still mathematically possible, would require Real Colorado to run the table while Thunder Bay Chill (11-0-1) drops their final two matches at home.

 footballBut first the Foxes must look to sweep the season series with the Springfield Demize (3-3-6) tonight in Missouri for their home finale.  Besides the need to impress their hometown fans, the wounds are more than likely still fresh in the minds of the Demize having dropping back-to-back games 2-0, 2-1 respectively to the Foxes last Saturday and Sunday respectively.
